How Our Music Video Production Works

Production is planned in three phases with the deliverable specification fixed before shooting. Pre-production establishes concept, shot list, locations, permits and a schedule built around the playback and performance takes. Audio is the spine: the master track is played back on set and the camera records a scratch reference, so every performance take can be synced precisely in the edit rather than eyeballed. Shooting is at a frame rate chosen deliberately, with higher rates recorded where slow motion is intended rather than retimed afterwards from insufficient frames. Capture is in a log or flat profile with a colour chart shot at each setup, giving the grade real latitude. Multiple angles and full-length takes are recorded so the edit is not forced into cuts by missing coverage. Post covers edit, colour grade and finishing, with the final audio taken from the delivered master rather than from the on-set reference. Deliverables are exported per platform at the required aspect ratios and specifications, including vertical crops framed during shooting rather than cropped blindly at the end, plus captions and thumbnail frames.
